SCERS Monday Night Digital Net PlanTime:
Immediately following the RACES Check in net – 7:45 PM local time. An email will be sent out to our regular participants with a plan for each Net
.Purpose
The purpose of this net is to provide participants with practice using the various components of FLDIGI to better prepare us for emergency communications
.Participation
All amateur radio operators are welcome to participate. If you wish to be added to the email list, please contact Tom Baxter (W9TPB) at thomasb8691@gmail.com
General Net Plan
The net will usually be composed of four parts:
1. Check in,
2. ICS 213 exchange,
3. Other element training, and
4. discussion/questions
.Check in
Check in will be done alphabetically by first name. Please use standard phonetic alphabet, slowly, and inform the NCS if you have digital traffic.
ICS 213 exchange
Since this is the most common usage of FLDIGI for EmCom, we will practice it every week, unless otherwise noted in the net plan.
Other element training
This may comprise several options. It may include using FLAMP for file transfers, it may include using Acoustic Coupling to simulate field work, or it may include other modes (ie. )Discussion/Questions
All questions are welcome here. We can all learn together.
